Kamala Harris Needs A History Lesson

They never know when to stop, do they? And they always go too far.

Then again, it was Democratic operative Rahm Emanuel who instructed his fellow Dems to “never let a serious crisis go to waste.”

Yesterday was proof that they continue to heed his advice.

On Thursday, Democrats in Washington were eagerly celebrating January 6th. As usual, they went far beyond merely remembering the anniversary of an ugly riot by a crazy group of right-wing extremists.

Vice President Kamala Harris, clearly no student of American history, compared the day angry radicals stormed the Capitol to other dates that are seared into the national memory: Pearl Harbor Day and September 11th.

"Certain dates echo throughout history, including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them where they were, and what they were doing, when our democracy came under assault," Harris said. "Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory: December 7th, 1941, September 11th, 2001, and January 6th, 2021.”

Is she insane? Do any of the left-wing, knob-turning Kool-Aid drinkers actually agree with this?

How could any sane person equate hundreds of fringe rioters who invaded Congress in an attempt to keep the presidential election from being certified to the Japanese attack on the American fleet in Hawaii?

To refresh our dimwitted vice president’s memory, on the morning of December 7th, 1941, 353 aircraft piloted by Japanese warriors attacked our Naval fleet in Pearl Harbor. They dropped an 1,800 pound bomb on the USS Arizona, killing more than 1,000 men. A total of four ships was sunk and the death toll from the ghastly surprise attack was 2,403.

The unprovoked and devastating assault on our Navy drew the U.S. into war in the Pacific where 111,606 servicemen and women died and another 253,142 were wounded.

In what world should this murderous attack on America be linked with a violent riot in Washington that was quelled within hours?

Then there was September 11, 2001.

Everyone remembers where they were when they heard that two hijacked commercial airliners had hit the Twin Towers in New York City. Next the Pentagon was struck by a plane and United 93 crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers boldly revolted against the hijackers.

In all, 2,996 people perished that day.

September 11th was a national horror. No American who was alive that day will ever forget it.

With an inferno raging in those New York skyscrapers, people leapt to their deaths rather than be incinerated in the buildings. When the structures collapsed, firefighters and police officers were trapped with the people they were trying to save. Included in the death count were 414 first responders.

This sleazy attempt to equate cataclysmic events of the past that changed the course of history to a disgusting mob that besieged the Capitol is an unserious political charade.

Then again, this is all the Democrats have at this point. The Biden administration never had a plan to end the pandemic, they’ve wrecked the American economy with astronomical inflation and they left Americans and allies behind in Afghanistan, getting 13 troops killed and more than a dozen injured in the process.

Their party is facing a catastrophic shellacking in the mid-term elections. It will be well-deserved.

All these far-left politicians have to point to is January 6th and they aren’t about to let that year-old crisis go to waste.

Hence, Harris’ idiotic, disingenuous speech yesterday. Not since Spiro Agnew has the U.S. had a vice president less fit for office.

Pray for Biden’s continued good health.
