Leave The Kids Alone

I give up.

I keep waiting for the Biden administration to exhibit the tiniest sign of competency regarding covid. It never happens.

Remember, it took a federal judge to get masks off the faces of two-years-olds on planes. Biden and friends would still be stubbornly clinging to that bit of lunacy if the court hadn’t ruled that the CDC had exceeded its authority with the mask mandate.

When the president said the pandemic was over last month he gave the country a glimmer of hope that Democrats were ready to leave vaccine mandates and the accompanying madness behind.

Not a chance. They can’t quit covid.

Shoot, Biden just extended the national state of emergency for covid through Jan 11, even though he said the pandemic is over .

Trying to follow Biden’s logic is a fool’s errand.

In fact, as you’re reading this on Thursday Biden’s CDC is planning a vote to see if it should add  covid vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule, which could result in schools making it mandatory.

Geezus, really?

Isn’t it enough that the vast majority of American parents have already decided that the risk of covid vaccine side effects far outweigh any benefit of the shots for children?

The vaccines have been available for the young for months. Parents have answered the call to vaccinate their kids with a resounding “No thanks!”

According to the CDC only 9% of children ages 6 months to 4 years have been vaccinated against covid. That’s a stunningly small percentage.

And only 38% of kids 5 to 11 have gotten a covid shot. Vaccination rates are only slightly higher among teenagers, 58% for children ages 12 to 15.

Look, once it became clear that vaccines didn’t stop transmission of the virus, even the weakest argument in favor of vaccinating kids - that infected children could bring the illness home to grandma - evaporated.

We’re left with vaccines that lose their effectiveness quickly and that raise the risk of myocarditis in young people. Besides, healthy kids don’t get very sick with covid and it’s estimated that 75% have already been infected and retain some natural immunity.

So why is there a push to get this stuff in the arms of every child in America? Follow the money. There is big money in the vaccine industry. All profit, no risk. The pharmaceutical companies can’t be sued for vaccine injuries.

Beyond injuries, the long-term effects of mRNA vaccines are unknown. No one cares about deleterious long-term effects in the most vulnerable group: the elderly. They won’t live long enough to experience those problems.

Babies, though? Why risk it?

Fact is, covid is not a childhood disease. Thank God for that. Countries like Denmark and Sweden are not even recommending the vaccine for people younger than 18 unless they have pre-exisiting health problems.

If the CDC adds the covid shot to its immunization schedule for kids it could harden the resolve of the 91% of parents of very young tots who have already decided that their offspring aren’t getting the shots.

It could also fuel the growing distrust of vaccines in general by the American public. Vaccination rates for common childhood diseases such as measles, polio and whooping cough are way down. If the covid shot is added to the list, it will appear that it’s as important as the polio or whooping cough vaccines. It’s not. But it might lead some parents to decline all vaccines due to the incompetent CDC’s covid gaslighting and misinformation.

This is not good.

There are a host of reasons not to vote for Democrats in the mid-terms: Inflation, the border and soaring crime rates.

The Biden administration is about to give you one more.
