Joe Biden. Bigot.
Joe Biden is a toxic old man. He is not the harmless, affable, middle-of-the-road Democrat the corporate media peddled to the public when Biden ran for president for the umpteenth time in 2020.
Biden is what he always was: an unintelligent race-baiting bigot with a big mouth, who conjures up the bogeyman of white supremacy at every opportunity.
It’s so much more fun than honestly debating policy differences with your political opponents.
Most recently Biden used his commencement address at Howard University, “a black HBCU” (oh, are there white HBCUs, Joe, do tell), not to congratulate and inspire graduates and to send them out into the world with pearls of wisdom gleaned from his many, many, many decades on earth, but to assure them that the U.S. is racist and getting more so by the day.
“White supremacy … is the single most dangerous terrorist threat in our homeland,” Biden said. “And I’m not just saying this because I’m at a black HBCU. I say this wherever I go.”
Of course he said that because Howard is a historically black university. Biden specializes in sweeping exaggerations and ginning up the hate, especially when speaking to minority audiences.
Like so many Democrats, Biden believes minorities ONLY care about race. No point in speaking on any other topic.
As usual, Biden’s speech was lazy, clunky, inappropriate and totally lacking in self-awareness.
Personally, I loved the line where he denounced “those who demonize and pit people against one another. “
Why, that’s Biden’s speciality!
One of his towering moments spreading fear and pitting people against each other was in 2012 when he told a black audience that Mitt Romney and the GOP ”want to put y’all back in chains.”
That was cringe-inducing.
Even The Washington Post, which shakes its pom-poms for Biden, pointed out the obvious about his terrible speech, that it was simply a reaction to polls showing his support among black youth slipping.
The 80-year-old president, after recently launching what could be a tough reelection campaign, is aiming to appeal to young voters of color, who were key to his 2020 victory but have softened in their support for him over the past two years, according to public opinion polls.
Perhaps the most patronizing moment of this truly awful speech was the way he chose to remind the graduates that HE was the man who appointed the first black woman to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“With your voices and votes, I was able to fulfill my commitment to put the first black woman on the Supreme Court of the United States of America. And by the way, she is brighter than the rest,” he sneered.
Why did he have to add that last little nasty bit that insulted eight members of the Supreme Court, even the libs?
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is indeed a bright jurist - she graduated from Harvard undergrad and law school - and, despite the fact that she was unable to define the word “woman” during her confirmation hearing, she has been an active and vocal member of the Court during this term and has impressed many with her curious mind.
Why exactly did Biden need to snicker that she was brighter than those other white justices?
I told you already. He’s a race-hustler of Lilliputian intellect who believes that African-American voters care about just one thing.
Race.
