Why are Democrats stubbornly sticking with open borders? This immigration policy - or lack of a policy - is increasingly unpopular. And it’s led to more than 6 million illegals in the country.

Shoot, even sanctuary city mayors like New York’s Eric Adams and Chicago’s Brandon Johnson are whining now that their cities are overrun with illegals. 

Turns out there are several reasons that Democrat border policies seem to be based on John Lennon’s worst song.

There it is. Document illegals and give them a “pathway to citizenship.” That’s amnesty, folks and all it does is encourage more border hoppers.

There are other reasons lefties have for wanting to roll out the red carpet to invaders.

Get a load of Rep. Yvette Clarke of New York who represents Brooklyn.

She wants illegals to flood her district so she can keep her seat in Congress.

For reasons that make no sense, the decennial census counts everyone in the country. Including illegals. Then the total head count is used to apportion seats in Congress. 

New York has been hemorrhaging people since it adopted oppressive covid policies four years ago. So has California. If those displaced New Yorkers and Californians don’t return - or aren’t replaced by illegals - some sitting members of Congress could lose their seats.

Finally. Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud.
