In case you’ve ever wondered if America’s elites are like you and me, or if they think they’re smarter than we are, you just got your answer.

The New York Post summed it up nicely:

The United States has a wealthy, partisan elite class that’s not only immune from and numb to the problems of their countrymen, but enormously confident in and willing to impose unpopular policies on them.

Yep, according to a new Rasmussen poll, which divided respondents into elites and super elites (those who graduated from Ivy League schools). An overwhelming percentage of both high and mighties are doing just dandy in Biden’s lousy economy.

And they seem unaware that the rest of America is struggling.

Worse, they’re swigging the climate Kool-Aid.

A stunning 77% of elites and 89% of super elites support the “strict rationing of meat, gas, and electricity.”

Seventy-two percent and 81% would ban the use of gas-powered cars.

Fifty-five percent and 70% would prevent Americans from engaging in “non-essential” air travel. 55% believe the government affords Americans “too much freedom.”

Naturally almost all of these privileged folk are Democrats - 73% - which may explain the left’s love of draconian measures, such as the recent covid restrictions.

Think about it, though. Most of us save for months or years to take a major vacation involving air travel. The swells fly regularly, many on private jets. Yet they want to tell frugal retirees to ditch that bucket list trip to Australia and stay home eating bugs instead.

This is a reminder that elections have consequences. Vote these out-of-touch lefties into positions of power and prepare for John Kerry-Greta Thunberg-Justin Trudeau approved authoritarianism.
