Harvard’s Alleged Plagiarizing President Is Out

Gotta hand it to The New York Times. That formerly great newspaper never disappoints. Its twisted take yesterday on the resignation of Harvard’s anti-Semitic plagiarist president, Claudine Gay, was classic.

The Times essentially blamed The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative online news service, for hounding Gay out of office.

Dr. Gay’s resignation came after the latest plagiarism accusations against her were circulated in an unsigned complaint published on Monday in The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative online journal that has led a campaign against Dr. Gay over the past few weeks.

The complaint added to about 40 other plagiarism accusations that had already been circulated in the journal. The accusations raised questions about whether Harvard was holding its president to the same academic standards as its students.

Notice The Times doesn’t acknowledge the scandal at America’s most prestigious university or the validity of the mounting charges of plagiarism - about 50 at last count - against Gay. Neither does it profess any embarrassment that it took a small, online news organization to unmask this academic fraud, while the legacy media wet its collective pants at the notion of exposing a female, African-American college president.

The hero in this story is New York Rep. Elise Stefanik whose stiletto-like slicing and dicing of three university presidents in a congressional hearing last month exposed the trio as morally bankrupt academics who gave aid and comfort to Jew-hating students on their campuses.

In her resignation letter Gay did not express remorse for her alleged serial plagiarism. Instead, she blamed others saying it was “frightening” to be exposed to threats.

Oh really, Ms. Gay?

Imagine how frightened Jewish students were at Harvard when pro-Hamas radicals screamed at them, harassed them and threatened them as they walked across campus. Imagine just how terrified they were when they realized that the president of the university would do nothing to ensure their safety.

It’s also worth noting that Gay is not unemployed. She’s back on the Harvard faculty, doing her part to keep brainwashing students into Marxist ideology that prioritizes identity politics and race over competence. Best of all she reportedly gets to keep her $900,000 a year salary.

Naturally, race hustler Al Sharpton jumped in to stir the pot.

“President Gay’s resignation is about more than a person or a single incident. This is an attack on every Black woman in this country who’s put a crack in the glass ceiling," he said to CNN Tuesday.

Watching the left twist itself into knots blaming conservatives for Gay’s ouster is amusing. This is an indictment of the left’s box-checking identity politics. Gay is just the first academic phony to be exposed. There should be more.

The Times and the rest of the left need to stop pointing fingers at the right. They only have themselves and their nutty ideology to blame for getting played.
