Riley Gaines Is Going Places.

Here’s a prediction: Riley Gaines will someday be president.

She’s a natural. She has charisma, she’s smart and even more importantly she has principles and isn’t afraid to stand up in the face of withering criticism and voice them.

Gaines, of course, is a champion collegiate swimmer from the University of Kentucky who was forced to compete against Lia Thomas, a biological man, in the 2022 NCAA Swimming champions.

Not only that, but she and the other competitors had to share a locker room with this large, intact male. One of the swimmers confessed to being so uncomfortable that she changed in a utility closet.

Last year Riley Gaines testified before a House Oversight subcommittee studying changes the Biden administration proposed to Title IX.

Gaines is making news now because she and 15 other elite female athletes have filed suit in federal court demanding that the NCAA be forced to bar males from female competition.

Among the plaintiffs is Virginia Tech swimmer Réka György, who lost her spot in the NCAA finals to Thomas.

According to the Virginia Tech website, György is currently the university’s director of swim and dive teams.

The Daily Mail reports that, The suit accuses the NCAA of violating the Fourteenth Amendment by 'destroying female safe spaces in women’s locker rooms.'

The plaintiffs claim the association is allowing 'naked men possessing full male genitalia to disrobe in front of non-consenting college women,' - thus creating 'situations in which unwilling female college athletes unwittingly or reluctantly exposed their unclad bodies to males, subjecting women to a loss of their constitutional right to bodily privacy.’

After Lia Thomas won the 2022 NCAA championships (he was ranked 65th when he competed where he belonged, on the University of Pennsylvania’s men’s team) World Aquatics quickly changed its rules, banning any male that had experienced any male puberty from competing in women’s sports. This includes the Olympics.

Still, the very woke NCAAs continue to allow males to compete unfairly against females.

You can read the lawsuit here.

“The suit asks the NCAA to change its rules to render biological males ineligible to compete against female athletes and that it revoke all awards handed to trans athletes in women's competitions and give them to their female contenders,” reports The Daily Mail.

“Moreover, the suit demands 'damages for pain and suffering, mental and emotional distress, suffering and anxiety, expense costs and other damages due to defendants' wrongful conduct.'

“The legal action was organized by the Independent Council on Women’s Sports and filed in Georgia, where the 2022 NCAA championships took place.”

If the justice system really is about fairness, if the laws as written by Congress really are intended to protect and promote female athletes, this should be a slam dunk.

If it doesn’t succeed, don’t expect Riley Gaines to go away.

She’s on a mission. And many of us are with her.
