What kind of country orders its border patrol agents to stand impotently by as their country is invaded by a violent, rampaging mob of illegals? The Texas National Guard was able to push some of the unruly horde back into Mexico. Others - most young men - made it through.

Only a nation on a suicide mission would adopt such gutless positions.

And that’s where we are thanks to the malignant Biden administration and its pernicious open borders policies.

The New York Post and Fox’s Bill Melugin were in El Paso and witnessed the lawlessness.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin later wrote on X there had been one arrest for assaulting a soldier. He added more charges related to destruction of property and assault were likely, citing Border Patrol sources.

Despite the commotion, the city of El Paso’s migrant dashboard showed 743 people had been released from custody and into the US on Thursday. They were either released on parole or to pursue asylum claims in accordance with President Biden’s current policies.

In recent days, thousands of migrants have once again descended on the city, with the dashboard showing between 2,000 and 2,500 people held in border patrol custody nightly.

If Biden is re-elected America will be a sprawling refugee camp by 2024, with illegals squatting in vacant buildings, cities squandering millions on welfare for illegals that ought to be spent on education and flaccid prosecutors sending ruthless gang members back to the streets. Shoot, it’s happening now.

Nothing at this point is more important than closing the border and deporting many of the illegals who are in the country.

Not abortion, not the economy, not climate change.

If you believe any of those issues are more pressing than securing our borders it’s time to re-examine your priorities and love of country.
