Four Hostages Rescued in Gaza. An Estimated 120 Remain.
Here’s a thought in the aftermath of last weekend’s daring daytime rescue of four hostages in Gaza:
When you rape, kill and burn about 1,200 people and take 240 hostages you don’t get to choose how the enemy retaliates.
You asked for whatever it is they’ve cooked up for you. And the Israelis are tenacious fighters. They’re not giving up until the terrorists are dead and the hostages are home.
Yet when the news of the Israeli victory broke this weekend we all knew what was coming: Handwringing and anti-Israel venom from the usual suspects on the left.
Naturally, the legacy news media and pro-terror factions in the U.S. never disappoint. They are weeping bitter tears for the Palestinian casualties, parroting numbers of mortalities fed to them by Hamas.
Here’s the vice president with her version of “there are good people on both sides” statement: “On Oct. 7, Hamas committed a brutal massacre of 1,200 innocent people and abducted 250 hostages,” she said. “Thankfully, four of those hostages were reunited with their families tonight. And we mourn all of the innocent lives that have been lost in Gaza, including those tragically killed today.”
I’m too happy about the rescued four to be mourning the people who shelter them. Weird how Harris seems unconcerned that this quartet was being held in civilian areas, by civilians.
Of course civilians would wind up being collateral damage.
Consider this, Noa Argamani, 26, was abducted from the Nova Music Festival and filmed being dragged away by Hamas thugs on motorbikes. She was held for 245 days while her mother was at home suffering from terminal cancer.
Noa was the only female hostage rescued by Israeli commandos and she reportedly told officials after her liberation that she’d been held for most of the time by wealthy civilians. In fact, Noa was apparently functioning as a slave in the home of a “journalist” who has worked for Al Jazeera. Maybe it’s time we stopped recognizing Al Jazeera as a legit new organization.
This “journalist” and most of his family were killed by the commandos.
Guess what happens when Hamas hides hostages and weapons amongst the civilian population?
Civilians get killed.
Not sure this so-called “journalist” even qualified as a civilian. If you’re holding hostages in Gaza you’re Hamas.
Oh, and if you live in an apartment building where Hamas has stashed human hostages, you may get killed. That’s war for you.
All of the carnage and misery would end tomorrow if Hamas would simply release all of the hostages and surrender.
They won’t and so the war continues.
Israel continues to collect intelligence on the hostages and hopefully what happened on Saturday in Gaza will be repeated over and over until all of the estimated 120 living hostages are home.
This will, of course, cause much heartache for the American left who are cheering for the terrorists.
