Biden Administration: Stop Saying You’re Sorry And Enforce U.S. Immigration Laws. For A Change
Just when you think the Biden administration couldn’t humiliate the country more on the world stage, this happens:
US official in Haiti apologizes for treatment of migrants
Seems a top U.S. official has prematurely decided that the mounted border patrol agents in that infamous viral photo were guilty of, well, not being kind enough to people sneaking into the country.
So he apologized on behalf of the American people.
We should be both embarrassed and furious.
News flash, Juan. Apprehending illegals, some of whom are engaging in human trafficking and drug smuggling, is not something you do from a desk or without getting your hands dirty.
It’s rough business. A single photo should not be causing American diplomats to self-flagellate overseas.
No member of this administration should be throwing the border patrol under the bus. These hard-working members of aw enforcement are cleaning up the mess made by Biden and his open-border pals.
Last month our border at Del Rio, Texas was turned into a squalid, tent city by about 15,000 migrants who made their way north, intent on defying America’s immigration laws.
Some were captured and sent back to Port Au Prince, more were ushered into the U.S. and given court dates to reappear at some future time. Yep, the U.S. continues to use the old “catch and release” method that essentially invites illegals into the country and allows them disappear.
By now everyone paying attention is aware that it was an optical illusion that made it appear that border patrol agents in Del Rio were whipping migrants who were crossing into the U.S. illegally. Yet here we are, weeks later, on a new apology tour:
A top U.S. official on Friday apologized for how Haitian migrants were treated along the U.S.-Mexico border, saying it’s not how border officials or the Department of Homeland Security behave.
The comments from Juan Gonzalez, the U.S. National Security Council’s senior director for the Western Hemisphere, came during a two-day official visit to Haiti to talk with local leaders about migration and other issues.
“I want to say that it was an injustice, that it was wrong,” he said. “The proud people of Haiti and any migrant deserve to be treated with dignity.”
At the risk of sounding a tad insensitive, I have news for Juan Gonzalez: He doesn’t speak for me. I’m not at all sorry we’re rounding up illegal aliens who break the law to enter our country.
The agents can best do their jobs on horseback, given the terrain.
Beyond that, I’m not sure that trespassers must be treated with “dignity.” They shouldn’t be treated cruelly, of course, but are we now going to require our border agents toss bouquets toward illegals?
Lunacy.
Frankly, there’s nothing dignified about openly flouting the immigration laws of another country. In fact, we’re far too kind and welcoming to these intruders. That’s why they keep coming.
All illegals should be turned back, the wall should be completed and no one should get into the country without going through proper legal procedures.
And Biden’s minions should stop apologizing for the one group of workers actually doing their jobs to keep America safe:
Border patrol agents.
