Media Spin Doctors Can’t Rescue Biden From Latest Mess
It’s starting.
The gaslighting, the spinning and the outright deceptions by what looks more and more like state-sponsored media.
Nice try, CBS. Even Pravda would be envious of your ability to nimbly trot out the party line.
CBS is wrong.
Until this week inflation was not caused by Ukraine. Neither was the soaring price of gas - up 40% in a year. Nor supply chain problems.
Those were brought to us by deliberate, imbecilic policies of the Biden administration.
As soon as he took office Biden listened to the left-wing morons who want America to run on windmills and sunshine and announced that he was cancelling the Keystone Pipeline.
That pipeline would have moved 830,000 barrels of crude oil a day.
We now buy 595,000 barrels of crude from Russia. Every day.
In one year we went from near energy independence to dependent on some of the world’s worst actors to fuel our country.
Elections really do have consequences.
Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping watched as our feckless president surrendered to the Taliban in August, got our troops killed and left our friends behind as we fled Afghanistan. If these leaders had been taking the measure of the man, they knew then that Barack Obama had been right when he sized up his vice president to a Democratic strategist:
According to Politico, the former president said: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f... things up.”
Vladimir Putin hasn’t underestimated Biden’s ability to make a mess. Putin is a ruthless, diabolical leader whose goal is to get the band back together, the Soviet band that is. He snatched Crimea in 2014 under the nose of the Obama administration.
Putin laid low during the Trump years. Perhaps he feared that the president was an unpredictable madman. Whatever the reason, Putin bided his time and plotted.
Enter Biden, our C-student president. Joe was never very bright and the 78-year-old president’s mental faculties are demonstrably diminished now.
Yet no one in Congress is clamoring to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him for one reason: Kamala Harris. The veep spouts meaningless word salads when asked about weighty matters of state, she hires child actors to make her look human in public service announcements and her mission to secure our Southern border has been a dismal failure.
We’re in a world of trouble.
Inflation will almost certainly worsen with the crisis in Ukraine, the price of gas will soar and the domino effect will lead to even higher prices in the supermarkets and goods.
Yesterday, Biden’s mouthpiece Jen Psaki said the president was doing everything he could to hold down the price of gas. Not one member of the mouth-breathing press corps had the wherewithal to ask exactly what he’s done to that end.
He’ll probably flood the market temporarily with fuel from our strategic oil reserves. Never mind that they were intended to save us if oil production is disrupted and not to stabilize prices. Plus, he already dipped into those in November when his poll numbers were circling the drain.
Biden should immediately reinstate the Keystone Pipeline and roll back restrictions on drilling for oil and declare that our mission is to become self-sufficient.
That won’t happen.
"Defending freedom will have costs for us as well, and here at home," Biden said this week as he announced sanctions on Russia. "We need to be honest about that."
If Biden thinks American are going to accept higher gas prices to free Ukraine and that this will boost his abysmal poll numbers, he’s miscalculated.
Again.
With inflation already at a 40-year high, Biden is about to learn that Americans blame him for the economy and are not in the mood to scale back their standards of living even more for a country that most couldn’t find on a map.
