International People Who Identify As Women Day And There Is No Crying In Politics

International People Who Identify As Women Day And There Is No Crying In Politics

Gosh, I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Then again, how does one celebrate such an important day? We know how Dr. Jill, our brilliant - she is a doctor of education! - First Lady celebrated:

By giving the International Women of Courage award to a biological man.

Nah, I don’t feel slighted. You?

Yet, it’s true. Dr. Jill along with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, handed out the awards at the White House on Wednesday and they gave the Courage Award to Alba Rueda from Argentina: a man who identifies as a woman and who serves as Argentina’s Special Envoy for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

Rueda was one of 11 “women” plucked out of the world at large to be recognized by Dr. Jill.

Think about it: The White House honored just 11 of the roughly 3.905 billion biological women living on planet earth and could only find just 10 biological females worthy of the awards.

You couldn’t make this up.

I don’t care how many obstacles Rueda had to overcome, this is insulting. But the radical left is relentless on this issue, taking every opportunity to spread the gospel of transgenderism.

Speaking of women, rumors are flying that the Democratic Party will draft Michelle Obama to run for president in 2024.

She’s doing all the right things: Michelle just published another book, “The Light We Carry,” and is on a whirlwind tour. She launched a new podcast and is making the rounds of talk shows.

She’s suddenly everywhere!

Is Mrs. Obama seriously thinking about jumping into the race? I can’t imagine why. She has a great life, lots of money, adoration and freedom now that her girls are grown.

Yet the Democratic Party has a problem, it has no bench. They must either renominate the Cadaver-in-Chief or his word salad veep or Mayor Pothole.

Sure, Gov. Gavin Newsom is waiting in the wings, positioning himself in hopes Biden won’t run. It’s true he has movie star good looks, but he’s a white male. That’s a problem for this party of box-tickers.

Yet in recent days, Michelle said something that may have disqualified her.

She said that after Donald Trump was inaugurated she “cried uncontrollably” for 30 minutes.

Why? According to her podcast, she was upset because as she “sat on that stage” at Trump’s inauguration “there was no diversity, there was no color on that stage.“

Business Insider reports:

In a clip in "Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast," Obama described her experience on former President Donald Trump's inauguration day…

"When those doors shut, I cried for 30 minutes. Straight, uncontrollable sobbing, because that's how much we were holding it together for eight years," she said…

"There were tears, there was that emotion. But then to sit on that stage and watch the opposite of what we represented on display — there was no diversity, there was no color on that stage," Obama said. "There was no reflection of the broader sense of America."

"And many people took pictures of me and they're like, 'You weren't in a good mood?' No, I was not! But you had to hold it together, like you do for eight years," Obama added.

Have we ever elected a president who admitted to uncontrollable spells of weeping? Is this what we need in the next Leader of the Free World, a crybaby?

Beyond that, the reason Michelle was bawling is pathetic: She wasn’t crying because Trump was going to undo policies that her husband had put into place or that she was sad she was leaving the White House after eight years.

Instead, she was crying because there weren’t enough African Americans on the inaugural stage.

If too many white people in one place can make Michelle dissolve into a puddle of tears for half an hour, I’m not sure she’s ready to lead the country.

Shoot, I’m not even sure she’d qualify for the Courage Award on International Women’s Day.
