NPR: The Mouthpiece Of The DNC
I distinctly remember the last time I listened to NPR. It was the afternoon of Election Day. 2000, if I’m not mistaken. Juan Williams still worked for the public broadcasting network and people were calling in to tell him about their voting experiences.
One giddy young woman from Oregon phoned and said that her boyfriend voted for the first time. She got him a mail-in ballot, filled it in for him and stuck it in the mail.
I can’t remember the host’s exact words but he was enthusiastic.
I almost drove into a tree. A caller on public radio had just confessed to voter fraud and she was being cheered by Williams.
Two things happened that day: I turned off NPR for good and became convinced mail-in voting was irresistible to cheaters.
An expose of NPR’s hard turn to the left was published yesterday in the online Free Press.
Looks like I haven’t been missing much.
Written by NPR’s business editor Uri Berliner and headlined “I’ve Been at NPR for 25 Years. Here’s How We Lost America’s Trust,” it outlines how Trump derangement syndrome caused the all-Democrat staff at NPR to drop any pretense of objective journalism and embark on a mission to “topple” the president.
As a result, the radio outlet lost its conservative and moderate listeners, catering solely to America’s hard left.
Berliner admits that NPR shamelessly pushed the Trump/Russia collusion hoax and when the Mueller report showed it to be untrue, the network simply ignored the updated story. No apologies, no corrections.
Same went for the lab-leak theory of covid. The reporters mindlessly regurgitated the CDC talking points and mocked anyone who questioned them. When it became clear that covid most likely did originate in a lab NPR ignored the story. No apologies, no corrections.
Likewise for the Hunter Biden laptop story, which, if reported fairly in the corporate media might have cost Biden the 2020 election given the questions it raised about Joe’s connections to his derelict son’s shady overseas business deals. Still, the story goes largely unreported. No apologies , no corrections.
Berliner concedes that NPR has always been “left leaning” but says it wasn’t until 2016 it went full bore to the Trump-hating left.
Today, this “news” outlet, partially supported with tax dollars, has no balance, no diversity of thought.
For decades I’ve pushed for the government to defund NPR.
What more evidence do lawmakers need? NPR isn’t a legit news outlet. It’s the mouthpiece for the DNC.
No more tax dollars to NPR.
