Democrat Dumpster Fires

Words matter.

And here’s one handy litmus test - if any are needed - to unmask news outlets that are in the bag for the left.

It’s the use of the verb “pounce” to describe conservatives reacting to any Democrat act.

Here’s an example from our local newspaper:

Buckle up, I’m going to pounce!

Yep, seems State Senator and Democrat party boss Louise Lucas is in a cat fight with Democrat congressional candidate Missy Cotter Smasal who’s challenging GOP Rep. Jen Kiggans.

This is delicious!

In a thinly veiled statement last month, it appeared that Smasal gently criticized fellow Dems in the state senate who were blocking a budget amendment to fund a program that provides tuition relief for the offspring of Gold Star families and disabled veterans. (State legislators eventually worked out their disagreements and the measure will be remedied later this month when Gov Glenn Youngkin signs off on the revised budget.)

Political newbie Smasal quickly learned that you do not cross the boss in Virginia.

Whoa.

Louise was steamed.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that she was also ticked off because Smasal backed out of a Democrat press conference on the day of the massive Trump rally in Chesapeake. Smasal was listed as a participant but was a no-show.

Naturally, Republicans watched this political girl fight with bemusement. And predictably, the local newspaper claimed the GOP “pounced:”

The National Republican Congressional Committee pounced on the divide, highlighting Lucas’ comments in a news release that declared Smasal “isn’t ready for primetime.”

Sorry.

There’s only one thing to do when the national Democrat Party is a dumpster fire and local Dems are at each other’s throats over real or perceived insults:

Pass the popcorn.

And get ready to pounce!
