When did Democrats move from “safe, legal and RARE” to celebrating abortions?
Seems like it was just a decade or so ago that even those who unreservedly supported abortions acknowledged that there was something unfortunate about the procedure. Women who had undergone abortions didn't put it on T-shirts or brag in op-eds about how happy they were that they aborted their babies.
Times have changed. Today’s Democrats are obsessed with preventing babies from being born. It’s the number one issue for many lefties.
Kamala Harris became the first vice president in history to visit an abortion clinic when she loped into a Minneapolis abortion center to pat the staff on the back and encourage them to keep up the good work last March.
She doubled down on abortion with her running mate, Tim Walz, who boasts that he’s further to the left than Nancy Pelosi on abortion.
Who knew you could run to the left of Pelosi on something she holds so dear?
Now this: Planned Parenthood has brought its mobile abortion van to the Democratic National Convention, offering free chemical womb cleaning and vasectomies to anyone attending the convention. Like a taco truck. At first I thought it was a joke.
It’s not.
"Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with @ChiAbortionFund & @TheWienerCircle Aug 19-20, providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion," the post said. "EC will also be available for free without an appointment."
As of yesterday, all of PP’s abortion appointments were full and there was a waiting list for vasectomies.
I hesitate to bring this up, but chemical abortions can get a bit, ah, messy. Are the Democrats who want to kill their babies going to just spend extra time in the ladies’ rooms? Shouldn’t they be in bed? And what about follow-up care?
I’ve written many times that the left has become a death cult, obsessed with abortions up until the moment of birth and euthanasia. Shoot, they’ve even brought a totem of a giant inflatable IUD to the Chicago convention. For the shock value, I suppose. Although I’m not sure you can shock anyone these days.
As far as free vasectomies, I say go for it Planned Parenthood. That’s a terrific service to the nation. Sterilizing large numbers of Democrat men will have a salutary effect on America.
And there was this: Women dressed up like abortion pills parading through the streets of Chicago.
