Gaza Gala: This Sunday At UVa
Let’s speak plainly today, shall we?
Charlottesville - and the once-great university there, UVa - is preparing to host a Palestinian-fest on Sunday. It’s being billed as a “charity banquet” sponsored by the radical Students For Justice in Palestine, or SJP.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the SJP, the organization was founded at Berkeley (so you know it’s good) and became active and energized on many college campuses after the Hamas terror attacks on October 7, 2023.
The American Jewish Committee describes the SJP this way:
In the days following Hamas’ terror attack in Israel on October 7, 2023, SJP chapters on multiple campuses led protests and other actions that openly praised Hamas terrorists and the death of innocent Israeli citizens. People participating in these protests also bullied, intimidated, and harassed Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus, behavior which is consistent with SJP activities more broadly. This led to several American universities suspending or banning SJP and affiliated groups from their campuses.
Oh, the fun these terror-supporting folks will have! If you’re going to the Gaza gala remember to don your best formal wear or preferably, your “cultural attire,” which I assume means a bedazzled Palestinian scarf and a ski mask.
In case you were wondering, Hani Almadhoun is the Senior Director of Philanthropy for UNRWA. UNRWA is shorthand for the deceptively named United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
The U.S. and a dozen other countries cut all funding to that shell organization in 2024, after it was discovered that UNRWA workers participated in the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order blocking funds to UNRWA permanently.
Presumably, Almadhoun will use Hamas-fest in Charlottesville to try to gin up sympathy for Palestinians.
The other speaker is billed as “professor” Josh Ruebner, who is in reality - according to his own bio - an “adjunct lecturer” at Georgetown University where teaches a class titled “Justice in Peace In Palestine/Israel.”
If your kid is a Hoya and taking this class, I suggest you stop paying their tuition.
Oh, and Marjan Naderi? She’s described an Afghani “slam poet.”
Exquisite timing, too.
While the Charlottesville terrorism fan club is dressing up in their finery and engaging in barely disguised anti-semitism, their fellow travelers in Gaza on Thursday brought out their families and danced in the streets - in the rain, it was that important - to celebrate as the caskets containing murdered Israeli babies were paraded onto a stage.
A grotesque spectacle. But will that deter Sunday’s merrymakers in Charlottesville? Doubtful.
The casket that supposedly contained the murdered remains of 32-year-old Shiri Bibas, the mother of the dead children, bore this repulsive inscription, scrawled in Arabic: “Arrested 10/7/23”.
Arrested?
This woman was brutally wrenched from her home and dragged to Gaza where the Palestinian people murdered her and her beloved children. Meanwhile, they starved and abused her kidnapped husband, Yarden, and allowed him to believe his family was still alive.
In breaking news on Thursday, Israeli officials said the corpse inside that box were not hers but of some random woman. Officials also confirmed that the babies were tortured before they were slaughtered a month after they were kidnapped.
The cruelty, the absolute savagery of Palestinians - not just Hamas, don’t be naive - is the reason no other country in the Middle East wants Palestinians to resettle in their borders.
UVa can celebrate these creatures on Sunday. But any foreign student on a visa who attends or even shows support for this barbarism needs to be deported.
Contact ICE if you are aware of foreign students on visas demonstrating, celebrating or even posting pro-Palestinian bullshit on social media. The tip line is 1-866-347-2423.
We want terror supporters OUT of our country.
Now.
