Virginia is expected to close out the year with a $2 billion budget surplus. An estimated $900 million is required under the state constitution to go into a rainy day reserve fund. That leaves roughly $1.1 billion for the next General Assembly and Governor of Virginia to play with.

Last spring’s catastrophe was on the governor who closed schools without warning, leaving teachers scrambling with online classes.
Are these educators comfortable enough to read and interpret data that show not only are children not at risk from the coronavirus but they aren’t carriers and there isn’t a single documented case of a child infecting an adult?
