Biden Administration: Tone Deaf And Out Of Touch
We need to start a daily feature. We should call it “Elitists Say The Dumbest Things.”
Yesterday we wrote about members of the sneering class who have no idea how ordinary Americans are being crushed by soaring gas prices. (Prices that have been on the rise since Joe Biden was inaugurated, by the way. The situation in Ukraine is exacerbating the problem, but Biden’s boneheaded energy policies are the root cause.)
Good news. On the mind-numbingly tedious PBS NewsHour yesterday, two members of the Biden administration offered solutions. The tone-deaf twins - Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris - opined about electric vehicles as Americans struggle at the gas pumps.
Yep, in Tidewater, gas prices jumped .50 in the past week to an average of about $4 a gallon. There were sharper increases in other markets.
Yet Biden’s braintrust yammered on about EVs.
Secretary of Transportation Buttigeig offered a let-them-eat-cake remedy:
In other words, quit your bellyaching about gas prices. Buy a Tesla!
The giggling Veep gave a typically sophomoric take on energy:
There are no words for just how idiotic she sounds.
How exactly does that vision of an all-electric future help a minimum wage worker get to work this week?
Beyond that, do these two dopes believe in the electricity fairy? How do they think we produce electricity?
Anyone want to tell them?
This is what you get when the mayor of a small Indiana town is suddenly in charge of America’s transportation and a Vice President is selected based on her genitalia.
And these two are not the dimmest bulbs in Biden’s chandelier. There’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.
Back in November, when the administration first dipped into the Strategic Oil Reserves to control prices that were already spiraling out of control, she was asked how much oil America consumes on a daily basis.
You couldn’t make this up. We’re in deep trouble, friends.
