Biden’s Tax And Spend Act

Biden’s Tax And Spend Act

Let’s begin today with a quiz:

Who can tell me about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill?

I’ll wait.

Still waiting.

Give up? Never heard of it?

Of course you have. You know it by the derogatory nickname that the corrupt, left-wing media outlets assigned to the measure that took effect in the Sunshine State on July 1.

The Don’t Say Gay Bill.

It’s CS/CS/HB 1557. Click here to read the four-page law.

Now find the part where it orders teachers in Florida public schools never to say gay.

I’ll wait.

Not there, is it? In fact the bill simply reaffirms the “fundamental rights of parents to make decisions regarding the upbringing and control of their children,” and it stops school districts from prohibiting parental notification of critical matters “affecting student’s mental, emotional or physical well-being.”

Oh, here’s the line from the bill that set the far-left’s hair on fire: “prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels.”

Those grade levels, incidentally, are defined elsewhere as K-3.

Nothing in the Florida law prevents parents from discussing sexual orientation or gender identity with their own very young kids. And frankly, I can’t imagine any sane parent would want a stranger discussing sexual orientation with their 5-year-old.

But the alphabet crowd went apoplectic, immediately giving the law a nickname that the liberal media - which hates Ron DeSantis and his conservative values - eagerly adopted.

Here, have a gander at what the disingenuous fools in the media wrote, as they deliberately misled the public:

Not one was willing to call the bill by its proper name.

Now, compare that biased behavior by news outlets to the reverential treatment they’re giving Biden’s so-called Inflation Reduction Act, even though no serious member of the media believes this bill will reduce inflation.

The bill Biden signed into law Tuesday is nothing but a grossly obese climate package that comes with a side of 87,000 armed IRS agents. It’s an obscene mess.

Some in the media do admit that the measure, which will raise $740 billion by raising taxes, will not do what the moniker says it will, yet they persist in referring to it by its formal name.

Why no cute nicknames for this pile of legislative detritus?

Could it be because journalists are eager to see the Dems turn their fortunes around before the mid-terms? Or is it that they’re trying to create the illusion that the doddering Joe Biden has miraculously turned his failing presidency around?

But look, Sen. Rand Paul has a nickname. Let’s see if it catches on.
