Cat 5 Political Opportunism
Remember the advice Democrat political operative Rahm Emanuel gave his party in 2012?
“Never let a really good crisis go to waste.”
Looks like today’s leftists have taken his words to heart.
Unfortunately, these shameless pols didn’t have the decency to wait until the winds subsided and the storm waters of Hurricane Ian receded to push their nutty agendas.
For instance, Sen. Amy Klobuchar yesterday - giddy with the passage of the Democrat-climate bill, which they no longer pretend is an inflation reduction act - declared that by voting for Democrats in the mid-terms, hurricanes will be a thing of the past.
Seriously?
Not only is this the party of science that in 2020 pledged to “shut down the virus, not the country,” and has recently vowed to cure cancer, but now a vote for Dems will mean an end to violent storms like the one ravaging Florida as I write this.
Yep, we can live in a world free from disease and bad weather simply by voting for Klobuchar's friends.
They think we’re stupid.
Here, listen to this tool from Minnesota:
Did Amy Klobuchar just suggest voting for Democrats will stop hurricanes?

"We just did something about climate change for the first time in decades. That's why [Democrats] have to win this as that hurricane bears down on Florida." pic.twitter.com/F9cDc7QAr9
Then there’s far-left CNN commentator Don Lemon who used Hurricane Ian to browbeat a meteorologist from the National Hurricane Center about climate change, while the learned man was desperately trying to do something useful for viewers by analyzing the path of the storm.
You’ve got to see this arrogant news anchor to believe the way he lectured a scientist about storms:
This is amazing. Don Lemon tries to blame Hurricane Ian on climate change. NOAA's hurricane director shuts him down. pic.twitter.com/svTjHtE8hl

Shoot, even the president weighed in as the storm bore down on the Sunshine State, giving his own garbage advice about hurricane preparations.
Biden telling people to prepare for the hurricane by getting vaccinated. 🤡pic.twitter.com/DgPZhqJIbv

Apparently it’s a little known fact that Pfizer’s magical mRNA shot can protect your home and family from 150 mph winds and record storm surges.
Good to know.
I suggest we all do what most Floridians and others in the path of this monster storm are doing right now: Ignore the craven political operatives.
Focus on staying alive. Once the storm passes we’ll all go back to trying to survive the worst economy since the Jimmy Carter years.
