Biden Panders To The Anti-Cop Crowd
Joe Biden has been watching too many movies. He’s confused Hollywood cowboys with real cops in heart stopping life and death situations.
Get a load of what the president said yesterday as he pandered to the National Action Network Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast in Washington. (NAN is a civil rights and anti-cop organization founded in 1991 by Al Sharpton, in case you’re wondering.)
“We have to retrain cops,” Biden said. “Why should you always shoot with deadly force? The fact is if you need to use your weapon, you don’t have to do that.”
“Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at them with a knife or something, shoot them in the leg instead of in the heart,” Biden told African American community leaders in June of 2020 at Bethel AME Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
Better yet, watch Biden in action yesterday and listen to the smattering of applause his insane suggestion gets him. From a friendly audience, no less.

Fact is, when a police officer shoots, by necessity he shoots to stop, because the person he’s firing at is about to kill him or someone else. And officers aim for the torso, the largest, easiest to hit target.
There’s no shoot-to-injure protocol. Nor should there be.
When I asked his reaction to the president’s latest pronouncements, Brian Luciano, president of the Virginia Beach Police Benevolent Association, said simply: “I’m not sure what he understands less, policing or firearms.”
“During a gun fight the national hit rate for officers is about 30%. And that’s by people who practice,” Luciano added. “It’s not like a sniper taking a shot from 100 yards away and not being placed in harm’s way.
“It’s generally with an armed person within five to 10 feet.”
Furthermore, Luciano said, “apparently he’s unaware of police having less lethal options like tasers and spray. I guess he’d rather we just shoot to wound thinking the person can’t bleed out from a leg shot.”
“When someone is trying to kill you or someone else, it is not as easy as Roy Roger’s shooting the bad guy in the wrist causing him to drop his gun. And any shot fired is deadly.”
Luciano’s association posted the following official reaction to Biden’s latest idiocy:
“Clearly he knows nothing about policing, training, tactics, firearms, ballistic, or wound ballistics. Nonsensical statements like this make our job harder, mislead the public and drive a wedge between officers and their communities.”
Exactly.
Yesterday’s stunningly stupid comments were just the latest effort by the left to undermine law enforcement and side with criminals.
Of course Biden and his family can relax. They’re protected round the clock by Secret Service agents. The Biden’s protectors are well-trained in lethal force and woudn’t hesitate to use it should anyone try to kill a member of the First Family.
Law enforcement officers should not be required to stand there trying to shoot the pinkies off violent criminals who pose a threat to themselves or others.
Joe should turn off the TV and talk to actual law-enforcement officers before spouting off about the use of deadly force again.
