Jason Aldean: Bigger Than Ever

Jason Aldean: Bigger Than Ever

We need to start a new feature on the website. I think we’ll call it:

Well, today it’s the left’s turn. They clearly don’t listen to country music because it took them more than two months to find out that Jason Aldean released a new hit song, “Try That In A Small Town.”

Fans have been singing along since May.

When the left-wing outrage mob heard about the music video that goes with it, they declared it racist. I KNOW they didn’t actually watch the YouTube video or they would have noticed that many - if not most - of the hairbag anarchists in the news footage are WHITE.

Shoot, have you ever seen a black Antifa member?

Here, watch for yourself. Count the Caucasians.

In a weirdly racist way, the left always conflates criminals with African Americans. By doing that, when we call for law and order they can call us racist.

See how that works? And they think that when they’re soft on crime they’re appealing to black voters, forgetting that most people of color are law-abiding and want to be safe in their homes too.

When the wokesters found out that the picturesque courthouse used a backdrop for the video was the Maury County Courthouse in Tennessee where an 18-year-old black man was lynched in 1927 they lost their minds. They pronounced Aldean’s song “pro-lynching” and the artist a racist. They didn’t seem to notice that the courthouse was also featured in a Disney “Hannah Montana “ movie and a made-for-TV Christmas special.

Nevertheless, CMT peed its pants and promptly pulled the Aldean video from its rotation.

Cowards.

To his credit, Aldean isn’t backing down.

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous,” Aldean wrote in a Tweet. “There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it — and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage — and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music — this one goes too far.”

Neither are his fans. “Try That In A Small Town” shot to number 1 on iTunes yesterday and when I checked the singer’s concert schedule his tickets were selling out around the country.

Sadly, he has no shows scheduled for Virginia.

In case you aren’t familiar with the hit song, here are the lyrics:

Offended?

I didn’t think so.
