Morning Joe’s Hopeless Hypocrites Turn Off Both Left And Right
Our country is deeply divided right now. But I’m here to help. I’ve discovered something that both the left and the right can agree on:
Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough are two of the most transactional phonies in the media today.
Heck, they’re among the worst, most annoying, people on earth.
The co-hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” spent most of 2015 and 2016 diligently administering tongue baths to their dear friend Donald Trump as he tried to secure the Republican nomination for president. His frequent appearances on their otherwise tedious morning show boosted ratings.
Temporarily, anyway.
Once Trump was elected MSNBC went full Trump Derangement Syndrome and these two lickspittles dutifully turned on their old pal and spent the next eight years savaging him.
They called him a racist, sexist, fascist, a fake president, a bumbling dope, dictator, destroyer of the constitution and “full-on Hitler.” They didn’t stop there. The seething co-hosts routinely mocked Trump’s supporters, calling them “idiots”
Meanwhile, they also launched a campaign to convince their shrinking audience that Joe Biden was not losing his mind and was in fact mentally sharp, “the best version of himself,” as Joe Scarborough famously put it.
Oh, the bald-faced lies these two spewed.
Once the old man fell apart on National TV during the June debate with Trump, they delicately walked it back. But it was too late.
All they had was their Trump hatefest.
On the Monday after Trump was shot by a would-be assassin in Butler, Pennsylvania, MSNBC brass pulled the venomous couple off the air without explanation.
They were back quickly. Fuming about their treatment and renewing their attacks on Trump.
Then the election happened and the Democrat operatives were gobsmacked by their miscalculation. Not only did Trump win the popular vote, the electoral vote and majorities in both houses of Congress, but after a brief spike Election Night - mostly conservatives like me tuning in to watch Rachel Maddow weep - MSNBC’s ratings tanked.
To survive, these two aging performance artists begged Trump for a meeting in Mar-a-Lago last Friday. They know that the only way to lure viewers now is to have Trump on their show as a frequent guest as they did before it he was elected in 2016.
It’s assumed they wanted an on-air interview with the president-elect. If so, these two shameless chameleons left empty handed.
From what we know of Trump, he likely agreed to the meeting to watch Mika and Joe grovel and humiliate themselves.
On air Monday they announced their reset with Trump, pretending that they only met with Hitler in the furtherance of their hard-nosed approach to journalism. “Speaking truth to power,” as Joe put it.
Viewers weren’t buying it. Neilson showed an exodus of 145,000 viewers after the first hour of Monday’s show.
"Joe and I went to Mar-a-Lago to meet personally with President-elect Trump," Brzezinski told viewers of the meeting, which took place Friday. "It was the first time we have seen him in seven years.
The reaction from the left was immediate and angry:
”BREAKING NEWS: I TOLD YOU SO," former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann wrote, calling the pair "Trump collaborators."
"Not a word Mr. and Mrs. Vichy Quisling say can ever be trusted again - not that those words ever should have been trusted. They are confidence tricksters - and grifters.”
"Disgusting," anti-Trump Washington Post columnist and MSNBC analyst Jennifer Rubin posted on X.
Rosie O’Donnell huffed that she would never again watch Morning Joe. “For months you were telling us he’s the worst thing that could happen to this country and democracy. And then you go kiss his ring,” said angrily in a recent TikTok post. “It’s the last time I ever watch ‘Morning Joe.’ Period. End of statement."
Seems lefties don’t like them any more than the rest of us.
Observing these cringe-inducing opportunists, Megyn Kelly - whose audience outdraws theirs - put it succinctly.

On Wednesday it was announced that Comcast, the parent company of MSNBC, is looking to spin off its money-losing cable channels.
Might be time for Mika and Joe to learn to code.
