Suspend The Student Visa Program
This was Yale university earlier this week.
What had these students done to trigger the Hamas supporters on campus? They’d attended an event that featured Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
For that, they had to run through an gauntlet of screaming protestors who were launching projectiles and fluids at them.
So enraged were these terror supporters that they built a Jewish exclusion zone encampment in the center of campus and blocked attempts by Jewish students to pass through to get to classes.
That led to this:
The encampment is illegal and school administrators placed limits - that were ignored - on how long the Hamas club could occupy the space.
Naturally, many of the trespassing protestors wore masks and hideous keffiyehs, making identification difficult.
Any foreign students occupying the space, harassing Jewish students or throwing objects should unceremoniously have their visas revoked and be deported.
Fortunately, some of the foreign students have been doxxed online. Here ya go, ICE, come and get them.
Clearly the U.S. State Department has done a miserable job of vetting student visa applicants. It’s one thing to want to come to the States, study at one of our many fine colleges and universities and return home with a college degree and an understanding of Western values.
We are not obligated to hand out visas to radical Jew-hating students who want to come to our institutions of higher education to disrupt the environment and engage in antisemitism.
To protect Jewish students and the rights of American kids to attend class without being spit upon or forced to take detours around no-go zones, the entire American student visa program should be suspended.
This would sober up the administrators at top schools such as Yale where 28% of the student body hold student visas and presumably pay the full $67,000 yearly tuition.
Too bad.
Yale can just dip into its $41.4 billion endowment to make up the shortfall.
We need at least a year to get a thorough vetting procedure in place for student visas. We also need time to review current visa holders to ascertain whether they - like Mahmoud Khalil - may have lied on their applications. It is alleged that Khalil, who is being detained by ICE pending deportation, lied on his student visa application, which eventually led to his green card.
A visa means a foreigner is a guest in our country. If visa holders can’t behave themselves like guests, let’s send them home.
