For those of you who’d thought we’d moved on from the days when there were strict rules governing how we honor the dead, you don’t know America’s leftists very well. While they may appear grungy when they’re in the streets protesting Israel or on a looting spree, they have a Firm protocol for what one must wear to a funeral: Black.

Meet Chelsea Eileen Steiniger, a 31-year-old Buckingham County woman who, according to The Daily Progress, may have accomplished the feat of having been arrested more often — 63 times — than anyone else in Central Virginia.

School Closures Were Catastrophic

How is it that ordinary people knew instinctively what it’s taken the elites three years to figure out: That sending kids home to God-knew-what conditions, telling them to sit slack-jawed in front of their computer screens could somehow make up for hundreds of hours of missed classroom instruction?

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns had a real and persistent impact on our children’s education. Learning loss continues to be the subject of daily news reports, with SAT and ACT test scores at an all-time low. Overall, math and reading scores on standardized tests are at their lowest level in decades and the college admissions process was thrown into a tailspin when lockdown regulations made taking the traditional SAT and ACT tests difficult.
