Help Wanted: Secret Service Agents

According to its website, the US Secret Service has an annual budget of $3 billion. Last year, there were $287 million in leftover funds.

Louise Lucas, Do Better.

She’s always been a tough politician, a pit bull even. But the appearance of Donald Trump on the national stage and GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Virginia’s has turned her into a bitter, foul-mouthed swamp monster.

Atlantic Park: The Deal of the Century

Atlantic Park is due to open on nearly 13 acres of city land near the Virginia Beach oceanfront in May of 2025. The new entertainment district is the largest public-private partnership project in the history of the Commonwealth’s biggest city.

The Trump-Harris 3-On-1 Debate

The Government That Cried Wolf

Looks like Merrick Garland has gone back to the Russia interference playbook, warning Wednesday that the Kremlin is sponsoring fake news and social media accounts that produce propaganda undermining American support for Ukraine. The Department of Justice is going after these suspect domains and have indicted at least one company.

Free Speech Is On The Ballot

Kamala Harris - a lawyer, who eventually passed the bar exam and presumably took at least one constitutional law class - believes that free speech is a PRIVILEGE. She also regards speech that isn’t subject to government moderation as dangerous. She’s dangerous.

Bravo For Sweet Briar College!

In other words, boys sashaying around in skirts and lipstick are not welcome to matriculate. Neither are girls shot so full of male hormones that they’re growing beards. Sweet Briar is determined to remain a women’s institution of higher learning. Not a clown college.

“Reagan,” The Movie.

At its heart is the love story of Nancy and Ron, which many of us found treacly and contrived while they were in the White House, but which, by all accounts was a relationship of devotion, respect and deep affection.
